Done.

Thank you for posting the link in order to make it easy to respond.

Washington State started this out with a $3.00 ORV tag. We all bought them, good idea back in 1975. Now (2009) your bike has to be "street legal", and licensed to ride on many trails.

Then comes the request's from the Counties for off raod vehicles, dirt bikes, ATV's etc. Soon after they need a couple Deputies to patrol the areas. Gotta make sure we all have them $3.00 stickers....It just goes on and on.

Seems small yes? get caught riding your CR 450 across a dirt road that requires this, it's a 300 dollar fine. Not "on" the dirt road mind you but "accross" the dirt road say to get from one non regulated trail to the other.

Oh you may say "he can't catch me on a huge XR"...I'll run!! Oh yea that's Felony Eluding right there, a real revenue builder. Then if they have the time, they call the helicopter, yea they have one of them too, need that to watch the woods you know.

In Chelan County (Wa.) there is a deputy (he is the brother of a friend of mine) who's sole job in the summer is to ride an XR 650 in the hills. AHh yes good job too. Except that's one deputy you would not need, if it where not for the ORV rules. It might be cool to have him on the street instead where there are some real problems. No No...... he has a 4X4 pick up with all the radios and law enforcement gizmos to haul the XR to a trailhead. Gotta be looking for violators!! They have a fleet of ATV's for (thankfully) volunteers to help (one of the volunteers is a friend of mine).

I'm not makin this stuff up fellas!!

So multiply that one deputy AND his 4X4 truck with radio's and all the other LEO gizmo's, AND an ATV or Dirt bike by the number of Counties in Nevada, and now you have a substantial dollar cost to the taxpayer. Nope that 3.00 ORV tag is not gonna cover that. So raise the fee, pull from the general fund (raise taxes) keep the mess getting bigger and bigger. Yea ahh they don't drive or ride old stuff either, every couple years, he goes shopping for a new bike.

Yes it all Started in 1975 with a $3.00 ORV tag.

OPPOSE THIS BILL!!!!

Me too, thank you for posting the link.

What in God's name is wrong when this type of thing is the priority of our government? Did the Commiefornia border move and I miss it?
