I stopped doing Sunday rides; it's too cold up here for me.  If it's just cold in morning when I leave I can handle it, but last weekend it was cold the whole ride.  Maybe if I had a windscreen...

I've been riding to work sometimes.  I'll continue until they start making snow at the base lodge because it drifts into the parking lot.

I have made the switch over to dirt. I will take the BMW south on weekends when the roads are clear. The Aprilia is NOT a good cold weather ride.

I ride to work everyday and will continue all winter except on snow days. This morning was a nice and balmy 28 degrees ;D

Of course, the windscreen on my bike makes a HUGE difference! :)

I passed you on 49 Sunday, did you see the skateboarders racing down Yuba Pass?

I saw some Connie's riding with HDs and though that was an odd mix.  Didn't know you had slowed down that much.  But that's cool.  What next, training wheels?

Coolest deal was as I was coming up on Yuba Pass and one of the skateboarders signaled for me danger ahead.  Sure enough there was danger at the 15 MPH hairpin.  My pace was casual anyway, especially with pedestrians that could easily lose control and end up in my lane.

The road conditions where pretty good though, wouldn't you agree?  Brian and I had set to ride Hwy 49, MRR, WWS, & Icehouse, but he injured his back the previous night or morning.  Understandable after a heavy night of partying with his GF.  By the time I received his message I was already geared up, so I ventured out on a shorter version of that ride.

You didn't see me then ;), I was with a Trophy and we went to the 162/Quincy route. That road is all new except the detour is still open.

It took reading twice to figure out what you meant by Trophy. :dunno

Thought something completely different.

I'm not riding street currently but am riding dirt... yes my back is better, and no GM, the injury had nothing to do with my GF  ;D  I'm hoping to ride some days after christmas in the auburn area. Will truck the bike down there and leave it at my parents for probly all of jan and february. I'll post up when Im planning on going if anyone wants to get their fix. Usually MRR is good for laps all year, at least up to about 20 miles in. Also Lake berryesa and some other stuff is doable.
