Just mounted Michelin 2CT's.  Never ridden them before and i've got a lot of chatter in the front at low speeds under acceleration.

I've got a track day Monday and not sure if its the suspension, the tire isn't balanced or wrong air pressure.  All the shops are closed today so i can't check to make sure the tire is balanced correctly.

could really use some help.

My number is 750-9885

MotoPutz

sounds like its balanced wrong or an issue with the tire itself...

I know there are a few people on the forum with balancers, hopefully one will be able to help you

Justin

It sounds like you threw a wheel weight.  There are a few people who have manual balancer around here.
Does the trackday provider have a tire vendor on site?

Hank

Tires are freshly mounted and i taped the wheel weights.

anyone out there with a tire balancer that can check to see if that's the problem?

Phil from Aftershocks will probably be at the trackday, and he can take care of any suspension issues for you there. For $20 he will calculate and set your suspension for you. $40 he'll tune it all day for you.

Also there will be plenty of tire guys at the trackday so you should be ok if you can't get help today.

im going to thunderhill monday.  the provider said there'll be a tire guy there.  i was hoping to take care of it today before i leave and not deal with it tomorrow.

understood. But if you can't get it resolved today, the guys there are very good and can take care of you so don't stay up all night wprrying about it. Get your rest and have fun tomorrow! Wish I were going! ;D

I have a balancer if you want to come by, I live in stead.  It might not be a balance issue though, you stated under acceleration.
This tell me two things.
1. A unbalanced wheel will wobble at certian speed and not at all at different speeds.
2. You are unloading the front end under accelelation(and you get a wobble)
I would think you might not have enuff rebound in the forks or too much comperssion in the rear.
Really, I think it is a aliment issue.  All you did was change tires? Of couse the bike will handle different but it f up the whole thing.

OH, I 4got to tell you I am full of crap sometimes.

FYI I think it is a bad tire.  I bounces up and down. Not a wobble.  I rebalanced it and the front end is strait, helped a little.   It is a hobble not a wobble ;) and only at 25-30mph. To slow to notice at the track.

Thanks for helping me out.  Its always nice to have some peace of mind at the track tomorrow.
