9:00AM departure due to 87* forecast for Sunday.  Meet at the Longley/S. Virginia Street Chevron as usual.

This was a last minute ride idea I came up with and substitutes for the postponed Downieville ride.*   We've never done a ride out to RFR.  Well probably for good reason...it's mostly slab and there's little to it.  But we can make a little something out of it if we ride over VC to 6 mile rd to hwy 50 east, Silver Springs and north to RFR in Fernley.  Should be fun to hang out with those of us who enjoy track riding.

Stay as late as you want.  My departure is open, but please don't wait for me.  Getting home is easy, just hop back on the highway at the track, head north into Fernley, at the "T" turn left and follow it to I-80 west (click here for map)

*Hwy 49 is being worked on and about the only other ride that I can fit into my schedule for Sunday is this one, since I obligated myself to go out there anyway.

Damn, gonna miss my first SSA group ride :(. I've got a long range rifle clinic to go to in Sacramento that day. Hopefully, I'll catch the next one.

FYI, I'll be at RFR on Saturday. Hey, I rode dville on the way back from my mothers day visit in Auburn. It really wasn't so bad, just take it slow for about ten minutes and you're thru it. But it is definitely a lot of gravel and if you baby your bike may not be cool.

See you at the track on Sunday, GM.  And anyone else who rides along.

Great seeing you out there Dub.  Only a couple of other riders that I recognized and I was too sunburned to venture out from underneath one of the shade canopies.

Easy ride of it.  VC hwy is coming along, but caution is advised, since the pavement is uneven and there's broken up asphalt in certain corners.  Pictured are KKM & SkydiverDCM.

Cool pics GM! Thanks for the ride over to Fernley yesterday and hanging out at the track. Also, those 3 laps we were able to do just to see the track definately got me fired up for a trackday:)!

It's was good to see you too, GM, however briefly.  Hopefully we'll be able to hook up for a ride here shortly.
