That's a nice conversion Rich.  There are a couple companies that make dedicated single ski sleds like that, but they tend to be quite $$$ and cannot ride in deep snow, but the groomed trails around here would be fine.

I think I have some twistier type footage, where I was getting the inside ski up in turns, that's about it, as I am not good riding powder (kept getting stuck).

That was a mountain sled, not great on trails, and much harder to control than a bike.

Watched some ice racing on TV a few months ago and was fascinated.   Gives the Russians something to do in the winter.

Riding in the snow is really no big deal if you have the right bike and tires to do so.  Based from my experience, a bike outperforms any four wheel vehicle on ice or snow, assuming that the cagers aren't using chains.





Nothing but a sheet of ice from the freezing rain over a few inches of packed snow on the way to work at 0600 in the morning.
