Newer Track Day Riders 8/16

    I thought it would be cool for you folks to have more experienced track day participants nearby to help, answer questions, and just generally get you 'dialed in.'  I'll be in a BLUE dodge ram with cap towing a Large uhual utility trailer.  Please feel welcome to pit with me/near me.  Please, at least come by and say "Hey Justino!"
I'll be with Oldbolt, Rubyroo, Youngster, and an SSA south guy on a 675.
One has one track day, and another has tried-the-track for 6 controlled speed laps. 

Please note that I know the majority of people there and they're ALL just as approachable.

One more thing.
When you get off route 80, do the speed limit.
In fernley it drops 45, 35, to 25.
When you make the right turn in town, keep it at 25 until you see the 35 .  .  .etc.

Same thing when you leave the track.

One more thing. . . increase your water consumption starting now.

Does everyone trailer their bike to the trackdays or do some people ride?

a couple people ride. Heck, I did my first couple times. i wouldn't suggest it now, though.  it's too tiring to ride home safely.  If you borrow a truck you can at least bring your extra gas, different clothes, food/drink, and an ez-up.

i rode to my first track day no problem but, bring a back pack with snacks and water.  walk around make friends.  there is so much help from the people here that you can get a ride on a trailer if you ask. that is what i do

Ya thats the only thing really holding me back is transportation there other than gettin laid off .  Hopefully I can get a truck/suv soon and make it to the trackday in sept.  Its the 26/27 right?( the pay section says 26 and 27 then the combined days says the 27/28)  For the whole weekend do you just ride both days and do basically they same stuff?

I know its a late post, but if someone reads this before heading out to Fernly on Sun, I just got the YSR running at peak, and need to get it out to the track somehow (I have no truck). I know a couple of you guys have offered to throw it in the back of your pickup, and that would be great (its the YSR 50).

Give me a call on 775-344-1380. My parents are in town, so I may not pick up, but leave a message and it will email me your message (in text form) so I can get a response to you asap. I will be working the trackday, but I thought I could get it out during the taste of the track so I dont cause a problem (it only goes so fast).
