Hi fellow riders!
I'm newish to Reno and I love to ride my bike. I have a cafe'd out 2009 Triumph Thruxton. I'm looking forward to making the next ride and meeting some new riding friends!

Question: Anything that you might suggest bringing along for the first ride? Aside from protective gear, water, etc.

Welcome to the SSA!  Glad you found us.

For this one ride, if it's still a go due to potentially dangerous water flow rates, most people dress in jeans/textile outfits with swimsuits underneath.  Other rides, we suggest full protective gear (heavy leathers etc), but since there are no lockers, jeans work best.  Please, no flip-flops and swim suit shorts during the ride.  It's not worth the risk.

It's a good time and a memorable way to enjoy a summer afternoon.  Bring a [waterproof] camera if you have one.  We'll eat in Nevada City afterwards.
It's about taking in the most corners to your destination, not about the shortest, quickest route.

Hi Truxton033, welcome to  SSA I love cafe'd out bikes, spartan and fast! The next ride is the annual "Jerome Swim Ride". You'll need a swimsuit, towel and sunscreen, at the very minimum altogether with the usual moto gear. I am sure the mods will be here soon and add to the list.

Goggles? For what? Snorkeling?

Also, just to double check, the Starbicks that we meet at on Sunday at 9:30am is the one just north of the I80, on MaCarran near Qdoba and all those places?

A DRAGON

Well kinda near Qudoba. It's there next to Arby's and we fuel at the 7-11

You'll need water shoes for the rocks you'll be climbing on. and Goggles for seeing under water.  You'll be digg'in it
