If you're ever late in the future, do like I've done in the past, just head in the group's direction.  I've always been able to catch them.

We stopped for about 20 minutes in Sierraville and throughout the day we averaged about a 'C' pace.  You would have caught us by Bassetts for sure!
It's about taking in the most corners to your destination, not about the shortest, quickest route.
