And I was trying to explain about Skyline...I thought it was 92, but 92 is East/West as you said and its number suggests.  Dean and I rode 92 up to Skyline from Half Moon Bay, then down Skyline to Alice's and then down 84 to hwy 1.

Actually, Page Mill is not that crowded as Hwy 84 is the favored route to Skyline from the south bay area. Now it all makes sense to me when you were talking about Skyline being a bad road. You rode the northern section from 92 to Alice's, and it's the southern section from Alice's that rocks! You would love Hwy 9 off of Skyline. It drops off the mountain to the east into Saratoga, and west into Santa Cruz.
