Until this morning I haven't crashed on pavement since, um, the early 1990s. It hurts more when you're older. Crashing on dirt is way better.

Bike came away relatively unscathed from a wheelie gone wrong. With an audience. Oh, the shame, the shame!

Sorry to hear that you crashed, glad you and the bike are fine.

I don't know about dirt not hurting though because it has always hurt plenty for me. Either dirt or road is tolerable as long as you don't hit anything solid. That impact is where the real pain is.

If you can go nearly two decades of road riding between falls I'd say that is pretty damn good. Just imagine how bad the next one will hurt though.

you jinxed yourself with your yard sale post. Now go out and slaughter some chickens

but for real, you got out clean? No bruises or cuts?  And the bike has no scratches?  Man I need your luck!

I got mini-rash through the leather. Jacked-up (hyper-extended or something) thumb. But my body feels like I was one of the guys in the cornfield in Goodfellas. In the dirt I only get this F'ed up once every couple years in unusually bad crashes. I crashed in Sears Point's turn 5 at 100 mph and came out better than this.

Bike handguard is rashed up bad, but that appears to be it. Funny, I don't have any axle sliders or any supermoto protection on it besides the handguards.

Front wheel came up quick and high and the bike accelerated unusually fast. I blame its SPL dyno tune!

Twenty-nine uncontrollable ponies!

POSER, can't get slicks for 3" and 4" rims. Instead, I'll just try to wear down all my tread.

I left a 5-foot-long skid mark from the front wheel, with a little J hook at the end from when the wheel was tucked.

The bike is still not running.
