I dont know about the rest of you, but for my wife and I our greatest track experiance at WSB Miller 09, was just fantastic.

We met the two people along side of our camp spot, Russ and Pete, great nieghbors, things were off to a good start on Thursday night.

Friday we cruised all over the place "unhindered" on the quad. We just strolled through the pits, like we belonged there. I don't know how long that kind of access will last but it made the whole weekend a new kind of fan experiance. We walked the track, walked into the pit lane Friday night same thing. The crew members who were on break were all very freindly, we talked with a few.

Saturday was busier but still good access to everything. Saturday night the ritual continued, walking right up to the crews wathching taking photos.

We camped at the entrance to the attitudes, and watched in the pickup bed (tailgate style) at the exit of "Bad Attitude".

Sunday, same place (exit bad attitude), I put the SSA banner up in front of the truck on the fence, I think it was the only banner on the fence, so if you see one in the telivised race, thats your banner guys, thanks to Jerome for hustling to get it to me.

After the races on Sunday, we strolled the the pits again, met Jake Zemke. I asked for a photo, and he just invites me to sit down next to him and BS. WOW!! What a guy. I could'nt have sounded too intelligent, but it sure was cool.

Jake knew about Reno Fernely raceway, he said he wanted to ride there, and asked me if I had.

How do you top that??

We saw Troy Corser aitographing, so I asked him to sign my hat, and introduced Karen to him, so he smiles and signs ger shirt. She was so impressed.

This could get long and boring. The point is what a great time!!

Post your photos of Miller WSB 09 here so we can have them all in one thread.

Corser.....

If you ever get the chance to look him in the eye...what an intense guy.

Right on. Thanks for sharing.

I would say the "unhindered access" will last up until the point certain fans start abusing it. (takeee takeee  :))

Zemke is definitely a cool guy. Very down to earth. You can even see it in his interviews. Just curious, what did you tell him about RFR?

Last year the people we were camped next to were friends with the Corsers. Troy Corser's dad came up and watched the races with us and we b.s.'d a bit with him about how he and Mat Mladin used to race eachother growing up in AU. Pretty cool. I would have to say Miller is the best race I've been to as a fan as well. Laguna GP is cool too though. I just love the sport all the way around.

Long and boring?! No way. Please do share all of your stories. I love hearing about that kind of stuff and seeing the pics. I am just bummed I couldn't make it this year.

Just got home, stayed for the track day on monday and it was absolutely amazing. Cant wait to get our pictures back from it. I shot about 1300 pictures from fri/sat/sun and will have to get a lot more looked at. It was pretty amazing when he came right over to us at the end of the 2nd race for the burnout. Some great images.

As we rolled in:

Cobra, I was there. Sounds like we were beside each other all weekend? I did not see the banner or I would have stopped. We camped at the enterence of the track at Witchcraft. You know, where all the pochers snuck on to the track Saterday night and did who knows how many laps? After the track was cleaned.
Some of my snap shots.

Dammit,

I am so anti social, socially challenged, ever seen the movie Gran Torino, all my friends are telling me about this guy, who is alot like me....I'm not getting it: Eastwood seems perfectly normal to me.....

Anyway I saw your Duck, in the camping lot. Thought it looked familuar...crap!!

You look to be at the entrance to the attitudes, we were at the exit.

How do you all get the photo's right in the "post", now my uplaod folder is full, and I get a message that says..."contact you administrator".
