For those of you that missed the details last night at bike night...

IVM Motorsports and SPL have rented the track this Friday night from 5pm-midnight for drag racing.

Entry fee is 35.00 to race all night..

Grudge Racing is an extra 10.00  (THIS IS WHERE THE BIKES COME IN)

For an extra 10 bucks it goes into a pot. No one chooses who they race. They wont know until its announced over the intercom. And the way I understand it is this.

Lets say for an example he pulls my name and yzinger.
Well the way its played is this. The faster guy rolls 2 dice. What ever number that person rolls is that amount of lengths there giving the slower car or bike. So if I rolled a 10, thats 10 car lengths I would give to yzinger.   This ensures even the little bike have a shot at winning the grudge racing.
It will be random draw, nobody gets to choose who they run. If two racers are evenly matched up, no dice wil be thrown. Side bets are allowed, the full pot plus additional winnings (from sponsors like SPL, IVM, Alchemy) go to the winner. Single elimination, if you really are that fast we will even the playing field by any means necessary.

So even the smaller cc bikes can win against the liter bikes!!  Again the winner takes all the money.    AND REMEMBER YOU COULD BE DRAWN UP AGAINST A CAR AS WELL. So you 600cc bikes maybe having to give space to those slower cars!!!

We will be there with the trailer as well as we will be BBQing!!!  So would like to see you guys out there!!

Riding Gear requirements are , Helmet, gloves, boots, jeans minimum.   No leathers required!

Thats it, thats how it works. The winner at the end of the night takes the whole pot!

Me and a few of the boys watched the drags while camping out for an SSA weekend at RFR.  They were fun to watch, perhaps even funny at times.  One dude on a quad raced the same F350 at least 10 times.  Putz swears the kid stripped down and covered himself with vaseline trying to keep it close. (in fact, I'm pretty certain it was Putz's vaseline)

I never go anywhere without some sort of lotion...  :o

If your racing a car its car lengths, FOR BOTH OF YOU.  Bikes are obviously bike lengths!  There will be alot of chasing going on that night!!! ;D

I used to run brackets on my RD400 back in the 70's. If you have never done it before, it's a blast! Get a bunch of friends together and it's a great way to spend a Friday night.

So why wouldn't you use the lights there to set up the time difference and make it a bracket race and actually have a dial in and let the lights delay the faster bike?To me rolling dice for lengths is not right. ???
Mental note:Don't drag knees with jeans on!!!

Nevada was built on 'chance,' so there HAS to be dice.

+1 the dice make it more interesting than delayed starts, imo

So, who's going?

Also, SPL do you know if anyone will have fuel available for sale at the track, or do I need to bring some with me?

Were leaving the shop at 5, should be there close to 6.   They will have fuel there to purchase if needed. We will also have a can or two if you run short.

And the dice is what makes this a ton more fun then delayed lighting.  Think of it like craps except you want the snake eyes!! ;D
