ebbits pass ride

i was doing some work at the alpine county courthouse today and was talking to a sheriffs deputy about our upcoming ride to ebbits pass. he said  because there have  been 2 motorcycle fatalities recently (one last weekend) on ebbits pass there was a pronounced  prescense of deputies and chp patrolling hwy 4 on the weekends with a zero tolerence policy for speed (1 mph over and you get cited).
just a heads up for all who are planning to take that ride. be safe and sane
