The SSA South Gang got together tonight and decided a Saturday ride would be nice. Tentatively the plan is to ride down to Markleeville via Diamond Valley Road, over Monitor, South on 395 up Walker River Canyon to Bridgeport for lunch. Then back, maybe 337 to Smith Valley and over Jack Wright Pass to Topaz.

We'll be meeting up at 9:30am at the Starbucks in Minden by the High School (Hwy 88 & 395 intersection).

There will be some Reno riders attending and I will let them coordinate a meeting spot in Reno for those who want to ride down.

Post up if you are interested!

Darn, that will be a great ride, I'm sure! We'll hook up eventually, Dale. Maybe us FOGs will  cross paths with y'all tomorrow!? We're meeting up at the Topsey Lane Starbucks here in CC at 8:00am and heading for Sonora Pass.

I'm going from Reno.  I'm planning to be at the Winner's Corner/Chevron (Longley & S. Virginia) <linked here> at 8:05AM & leave by 8:15? The group leaves from Minden at 9:30AM, so that should be enough time to navigate Carson City, introductions with n10sive's SSA South group and gas up.

All are welcome.

What a GREAT RIDE today! Had an awesome turnout (10 riders, one support car). Wound up riding up to Twin Lakes and let Rick show us where he climbed. After lunch in Bridgeport we took the newer riders down 337 and the KFG's went back via 395 for another pass over Monitor. The ride down 337 was AWESOME!!! Wide open road with zero traffic, good conditions...nice sweepers and clear straights for some very serious exhaust cleaning :D Some people got to try a few things out on their bikes for the first time and really learned a lot on this road! I think their confidence levels went way up after today's ride. Everyone did an excellent job and I think everyone had a good time!

I'll post a few pics that I took with my crappy cell phone. Hopefully others will post up when they can.

Thanks everyone for a very wonderful day!!!!

Yep. And what was really cool is that Natalie (sp?) brought their jeep with a trailer as a support vehicle in case anyone broke down. That was pretty sweet! Thanks Jay and Natalie!!!

Thanks n10sive for hosting and being flexible on today's ride.  Twin Lakes was beautiful and coming home the way we came was a delight!  8)  I'm gonna have to go hike Twin Lakes soon and see how far up I can make it.

Everything worked out.........again!  Mr. Repsol gave me a wag of the finger (deservedly so) for attracting the attention of some dude with colored light thingies on his car near the end of our ride.  The guy wasn't interested however, so no harm, no foul.  Whoohoo to that!   :D

Everyone did a great job holding their lines and riding safe.  Great group.  Great ride.  Loved it.
