Street Kings Appreciation BBQ - August 22nd at Nevada Beach

Hey all, the Street Kings are holding an Appreciation BBQ at Nevada Beach, August 22nd from 11am - 4pm.

The SSA South Gang will be organizing a ride that morning, ending at the BBQ. Destination unknown right now but it will be fun none the less. We'll meet at the Minden Starbux at 9:30am and head out from there. Possible places to visit on the ride are Monitor, and most definitely Kingsbury.

Let's all show our support for the Street Kings, as they have really stepped up and supported the SSA!

street kings are a group of riders from reno and surrounding area (some are from down south around dayton) good bunch of  guys

well...doesn't appear to be much interest for this. As it turns out, I need to move out of my office tomorrow so I will be doing that instead. Hope Allen and Tammy can get the boat in to shore and give some of those guys a ride. Sounds like fun.

the street kings come to most of the bike nights, and they wear black vests letting you know they ride together.  I believe their focused more on stunting.  A couple of their guys have been to our track days.
They donate to our raffles and we donate to theirs.  They love to ride.
They also do a little more weight-lifting than i normally like, or so it appears.

Boat is in the driveway and ready to go in the morning...I hope that we can too! We shall see how close we can get. I haven't been to Nevada Beach before. I have to do the same thing next Saturday for a work event, so this will be a good test. I hope to see some SSA folks there. The Street Kings seem to be a really nice group. They have been very supportive.

Damn...false alarm! Found fuel leak in boat, thought we fixed it last night, but nope. Now, it has to sit for 24 hours, so we'll give it another shot in the morning. Sound like the "Boy who cried wolf", but if anyone is interested we will be out tomorrow. Dog gone thing! Toys will be toys...unpredictable.

Anyway, we will be headed on on the bikes to the BBQ soon. I hope others will be there as well.

The street kings will soon need to be renamed to "track kings"

Were slowly starting to get them converted over.      The latest rider Jose aka "crash" is now addicted and will be going to more track days. Thats 2 of them now and there both working on others in the group to come to a track day event with them!

Reporting back from the BBQ...what a great group! The weather was nice, everyone was friendly and the food was killer...carne asade, hot dogs, rice, beans, chips...you name it. They even had a beautiful Street Kings cake.

If any Street Kings read the board...a HUGE Thank You for your hospitality! We had a great time.
