SSA Calendar?

Hey all,

Now would be the time to start thinking about an SSA calendar for next year. What do you think? I think we have the pictures! Allen's Silverado SS site does one each year and it is really cool. His truck took July. I also noticed the Pashnit site does several.

Anyway, it could be our chance for 15 minutes of fame, huh?

It's tuff to put together a calendar for next year when we haven't heard the calendar from several other people. The AMA, MotoGP, World Super Bike, AFM, Keigwin and RFR. All these groups help to dictate our schedule every year.

If you are interested in adding a ride to our schedule,Please feel free to suggest.  there is no problem adding a different ride to the schedule.

She's talking about a photo calendar.  The kind you hang on a wall.

Jerome mentioned to me the other day about creating such a calendar.  SSA members submit the pictures (SSA sticker must be visible to be considered) and then maybe a vote for the top ones.   I thought Jerome's idea was awesome and mentioned it at the last 2 SSAnorth bike nights.

A photo calandar is a good idea but it would be cool if it also had the SSA rides and track days listed too. Maybe once the dates are set it would be a neat thing to do.

Sounds like it might be a go. I thought of it because Allen brought it up to Jerome when he came to Gardnerville for the Monday bike night a little over a month ago. We weren't sure if the idea would stick, but it seems it might. Totally cool!

Sorry I was thinking of something else.  A calendar is an excellent idea.

I mentioned at bike night you can only submit pictures where you can see our ssa logo or sierrasportbike.com sticker on your person or bike. If someone wants to start it that's cool. Johnny at the lake will put them in a calendar. We all can rate them on the website We'll need 13 shots. ONE for the cover and the others for the months.

can we mix it up with pics from the track and from group rides?

I think it would be cool if the cover was the best group shot we have out there...either track or group ride...what do you think? If we don't have one, then we could plan a group pic at the next track day. Then again, there may already be an awesome pic out there somewhere.

Well since we are Sierra Sportbike I think a group shot with a large vista behind us would be more interesting than the parking lot shot.  Just my two cents.
