As so as I find out something I'll let everyone know. I think we have a good shot at getting something going for next year.

Paul Youngster has put together a group of providers who used the track last year. So collectively we should be able to come to some agreement.

If I have to take a day off of work to make the meeting I will. I'll make it a point to be early to the meeting as well. As for Who will be in attendance representing the SSA, I would like to have our Executive board there. I'll see how that can work out. So stay tuned

. . .and if someone would stop peeing on them they might not need replacing quite so often  ::)
::)
Cones move, urine stains are stubborn. . .
Oldest trick in the book and the real reason to  'walk the track'

Now you know why I prefer "try the track instead of "Taste of the track"

I'm certain that members would aprove when I say WE THANK THE PRES.V.P AND EXECUTIVE BOARD for their effort and commitment to secure a season at RFR for SSA members.
MOTOISM my desease from wich there is no cure.

Let's see if we can get some of the "stimulus" money to repave the track. We need to come up with an energy/environmental benefit for the "grant" program. Maybe a study of the effects of a new type pavement compound on the environment? ::)

Josh,

Thank you very much for the heads up.  We are putting together our schedule and I was going to be contacting RFR to see if the course would still be available.  My only contact was Jeremy Cable, but from the looks of the message thread it would seem that he is no longer the person that I need to contact.  If you happen to know the phone number of who I need to contact please forward it to me and I will get to work on it.  Hope to see you out on the bike this year.

is the board going to meet with them Alberto? Or just Jerome?
At this point I am not sure. You should pm the Prez and VP about that.
Jerome did express he'd like the executive committee there.

Josh (fat but not really fat)
We've been compiling a list of users of the track.   We will be glad to disseminate the "wheelmen's" info to the new operators.
Jerome's right when he urges us to stay positive.

I am totally confused after reading this thread.

Had one of the racers in Washington all fired up about going to Fernley (he has the Oregon #5 plate) so pretty decent rider.

Then I tell him a week ago it has been shut down.

Now there is a possbility it will open for limited schedule.

Have I got that right?

Justin

I think the fact that Danny reached out to Alberto on behalf of the management is an excellent sign, and frankly more than I even hoped for.
  Let's see where this goes.

(the anticpation of crapping in a hot plastic coffin is more appealing than ever!)

^^^+1... but i can smell the stench already ;D lol

ahh yes the thread is waining in a different direction....

There is no worse plastic coffin than the ones we used in Baghdad. 120 degrees, sweating, reading the possibly pornographic mag (actually I prefered FHM or a motorcycle rag) all the while wondering if a car bomb would be going off, or perhaps a mortor round or RPG lobbed into the perimeter....all whilst inhaling the remnants of the last 50 or so troops to use the plastic coffin.

Sweet memories......
