Going after the Spammers! - :)

OK So Justino emailed me and told me about the mess which was worse than I thought. I deleted the Madgebrode account, all post, topics, and banned the ip, user name and email address. I noticed that the forum software version had not bee updated in a long time, so I updated to the newest version. I'm going to look at the sign in process right now and try an up the security there as well.

First I updated the forum by almost 10 versions. The updates haven't been done in a while.

Second add the following quetsions to the sign up page:

What is Moto GP Champ Valentino last name?
Big Valley Honda sells which Brand of motorcycles?
What number comes next? 2,4,6,
Normally you shift up or down for first gear? which?
Which color represents Kawasaki? Orange or Green?

And the shifting question...your going to get plenty of arguments on that one. The racers are going to start complaining that it should be up then down while the street guys are going to be down then up.

Is there now a wat to delete profiles?  I was looking through members, and have found lots of spammers, and old members that have not been around for ages.  If this were to be cleaned up a little it would be easier to find people.  Just a thought.

I think something is going on with the number of guests lately.  Or is it just me.  Right now it is sunday at 7:12 and 22 guests and one(me) user.  There is about 15 people on the main page within 5 to 10 seconds for comming on. Weird?
