nice bike, but first look at that price, also, It weighs 411 pounds, and I dont see the HP

I think yamahas numbers are skewed.  There is no way an R1 weighs less than 400 pounds.  The MV's are about as light as it gets.  Also yamaha posts the hp at the crank, not the wheel.  I wouldn't believe their numbers.

Also your posted numbers say that the engine type is a twin.  Never heard of a V-twin R1.

    This might be a little off too, 5 per cylinder x 4 =20.  Weight  wet lb. vs dry lb. will be +/- 40lb.  Hp. and tq can adjusted.  The bike are on different dyno's
    Looking at numbers is not a good way to buy.  I like too to read the riders feed back.  Real life opinion.
I have met so many people, some at SSA bike night(newbies), Strait out the manual telling me that their bike is 180 HP.  I depending on how much of a jerk I feel like being reply "Who built your motor?"  I get the puzzeled look their face or a reply of "It is a Suzuki."
    So I guess the spec. sheets are what the average joe looks at.  WE ARE NOT AVERAGE MOTORCYCLE RIDERS!  Look, we even sit and discuss the subject when we can't go out riding.  We go to bike nights.  Gather for events, trackdays, and sunday rides.  This is our life.
    Well Paul you have nothing to prove with us, you belong here as much as anyone.  You got it bad.  I know you and Allen are just having fun with the trash talk, but I am looking between the lines.  So say something nice it XXXXL and lets move on.

I have 99.6 HP! but instead of a straight line race lets just take it to the track. That way i don't even care if i lose, 'cause i still get a track day out of it.

Im in.... and I agree Greg, were just playin....and Itching.... when we did that dyno night, the old ass 2000 that filled thier trailor with smoke still put 133 HP to the rear, 6 years newer has to be better.... and rick, I agree with you too! I always come in last and I dont care  I got it soo bad Im thinking about going to laguna this weekend! man I need a fix!

Here's a better race: My Concours 14 vs the ZZR. We could drag and then see who gets to the Virginia City BBQ first..looser pays for lunch. A couple of big old bikes blasting up the grade, Green Machine can go ahead and scout for us!

If a fix you need to get ,get a dirt bike ride all year round, even in the snow, and the mud, to me its about riding, horses are cool too. Trash talk is funny, but when it comes to mine is better than yours  I'll just watch.
