Wasup everybody.  I heard of this forum from Sacramentocrotchrockets.com and figured I would check it out.  I ride a 2000 CBR 929RR.  I am also from Lethal Riders MC Lodi Chapter but I live in Sacramento.   Look forward to meeting some of you out there on Wentworth

Havoc. Welcome to the SSA. So is your crew meeting up with us at Wentworth on Sunday? Cool. Remember we haven't discussed our route to get there yet. I'll post when we figure it out.

That's a cheesey way to get your Duc fixed.

I don't mean to rain on anyone's Wentworth Springs Rd parade, but Saturday (06/05) the last 3 mile stretch that joins at Icehouse Rd was covered with patches of snow drifts and slushy water.  About five drifts and what wasn't covered with snow was covered in enough pine debris we could only proceed at about 35 MPH at best.  Thankfully some high axle 4WD trucks cleared a path and we were able to make it through, so it's 98% there and hopefully clear by this Sunday.

Just don't want to get everyone's hopes up only to find that not all the road is ready for prime time -- anticipate getting your bike wet and dirty.  Other than that, the conditions were excellent on both roads.
It's about taking in the most corners to your destination, not about the shortest, quickest route.

I am not sure about Icehouse but from everything that I have heard Wentworth should be clear by this weekend.  I will be testing it out anyway.   I always do my first pass slow just in case.

there is a little spot of road called 193 if you are going to be in Georgetown you might want to do this little stretch it is wicked.  It is between Georgetown and Placerville when you hit 49 turn around and go back 193 then to Wentworth

Hovac. If we can't do Ice House see if your crew can find an alternate road if Ice House isn't any good. If not we'll just do what we can and call it a ride. Any day on my bike is a good day.

I found out from a reliable source that Icehouse is clear and that there is a little runnoff by the cattle grates but hopefully that will be clear by Sunday.  BTW maybe we should meet at the corner of Wentworth and Icehouse at an approx time

Why not meet at Frog Pond at the Chevron station. It's only a few miles away from the turn off and a good place to gas up and get a drink. Just a suggestion. It only adds a few miles to the Reno folks and is convenient for you Sac riders.

Where is that?

It's a few miles on the Pollock Pines side of Icehouse. Only gas station on the south side of the road. Nice big parking lot, dog walking, store and gas. Pretty nice place. There is a sign heading West on 50 that says "Frog Pond" right before it.

Edit: FRESH POND sheesh...I'm a retard. It's on Old Carson Rd and Hwy 50 East of Pollock Pines.
