Hey everyone,

We are getting down to the wire on this event.  It is literally next weekend. Sign ups are super light compared to the last event. Rather than get the silent treatment on my Roll Call lists I would like to know those of you who opted out of the race this time, the reasons for it.

As you know we are trying to unite our community with all riders despite all the drama between clubs and RFR.  Without your participation TTP is just a waste of space.  So every rider counts, our market is to small to make this race event happen if only half of you support it.  Between the hurdles RFR has given us and the insurance barrier, TTP must have a head count of 30 RACERS by Tuesday next week to make this event happen, or RFR will be forced to cancel my race for insurance purposes.

So please post up in this thread your reasons for not playing in our event this time.  Remember we are a new organization so we are adjusting things as we learn what works and what does not work with each event.  We are listening to YOU the rider as you are what makes events like this happen.  Think about it, how many race orgs do you know of that listen and CHANGED things for their racers only to make the event better the next race.

One last thing if your only going to post complaints or negative comments , save it for me personally. I would rather meet you in person and talk about what we can do to solve the issues at hand.  It makes for a better business.

Guys please keep in mind, that their really is NO money in doing these types of events.  So why do people like myself and other  small orgs do it?  PLAIN AND SIMPLE FOR THE LOVE OF THE SPORT!!!    But without all of you supporting us one way or the other, it makes it harder for us to try and keep our head above water for creating an event like this.

So please let TTP know, WE ARE LISTENING!!!!

Because track surface sucks and is not fun to race on it.

reason #1 unhappy with the politics of the track.
reason #2 I broke my leg.

I do agree there are sections of the track that make it no fun. But my Primary reason for not racing is I don't have a bike!  :D

Sam, you've been working your a$$ off to try and do everything you can to make it happen. I hope it all works out for you. You deserve better support for what you've put into it. Just sorry I can't be one of them. I don't think I'd do too well with my 1990 Reebok Pumps.  :) Good luck man.

I'm not a racer, but I love races and spectating.  I try to encourage other interested parties to attend, but respectfully decline participating.  Sometimes there's no rhyme or reason to getting crowd participation.  Maybe it's just late in the year, kids are in school, football's on, MBL is in post season, prepping for ski season,...who knows?!
It's about taking in the most corners to your destination, not about the shortest, quickest route.

Sam. I'm with A-Diggity KUDO'S to you for what your doing.  SSA will support any SSA member that races again.

As for me.  It's just something I'm not interested in.  Thank you for all your hard work and enthusiasm.  Your one of the best promoters I know.  I hope it works out  for you next weekend. I'll bring the signs.
