My bike is stock except for a pipe and sliders. What kind of goodies should I ask for? Any smallish performance treats like good plugs or wires? Any easy bolt on replacement parts to save weight or increase fun? I was thinking a K&N air filter to go with the pipe if that would make any difference? How about a "can't live without" maintenance tool or something?

I have riding gear already, want to do the bike; '07 GSXR 750

Steel braided brake lines for the front.
That would be my 1st mod on any bike.
Riding on the street is a lot like living with your parents.

Full Titanium Arrow Exhaust and K&N helped my 675 Daytona breathe. Stainless braded lines a must!
MOTOISM my desease from wich there is no cure.

:thumbup I think that's at the top of my list for Winter mods too.  Ugh!  I just hate messing with brake fluid.  It always seems impossible to bleed correctly.  I should see what Rich charges for such a mod, so I can sit on my lazy arse sipping hot cocoa.
It's about taking in the most corners to your destination, not about the shortest, quickest route.

Biggest change for me.   A new sprocket and Chain.  After riding my ZX9 with the added teeth.  It's a must for my aprilia.  I don't need to run 150 mph on the street.   :hiding That change was so significant.  I really liked it.  Some much power on demand   :GrnWheelie

:chilling  Dragon, that's all good.  I'll save some seats for you and Regina at the Markleeville deli.  That is, after you're done playing with the gasoline hoses.  :D

Can you recommend a brand for the brake lines or are they pretty much the same?
A Dragon, what ratios and chain? What does that do for the bike?

for the brake lines, Galfer is good, I have russell, which is made by edelbrock.
sprocket/chain conversion go with a 520 kit. the combination is all up to you, it depends on the application you want it for and the bike. most common for the track is 1 down in the front 2 up in the rear. (stunters go like 3 down 10 up) and can wheelie in every gear and it makes they're bike top out at like 85 mph! your basically sacrificing some top speed that you dont use for faster acceleration... many combos to play with.

Good tires, have your suspension sorted out for your weight (possibly at the next SSA trackday)

Got Aflac??

I'm not kidding either, I ride more comfortably with good insurance.

If that's not glamorous enough I think the 520 chain and a slight gearing mod is a great way to make the bike feel better without spending a whole bunch of money.

Ditto Cobra.  I changed from a stock rear sprocket to at 46 teeth on the rear.  I sorry I can't remember what I did in the front.  I'll look when I pull the motor in January.  What a difference.  So much torque.  Not a lot of top end.  But real fun to ride because it just accelerated so fast.  Gear change only varied the RPM by about 1500 rpm. Not to cool but 6th Gear roll on's were outrageous.  I just loved it.  A Diggity rode in at Fernley for our last track day.  Nothing but smiles.  He did say he hit the rev limiter at the start finish tower though. I know I did do the 520 conversion.  Just to expensive to keep the factory sized chain.   :GrnWheelie :GrnWheelie :GrnWheelie

Let me know what changes you end up making.  Gearing it down sure is nice
