Beautiful weather for riding today too.  Other than a chance of thunderstorms, that is.

C U in the morning.  Great to see you back riding again!

I will be there also, see you all in the morning.

Hopefully the weather will hold.  I know T-storms are forecast for today, but that leaves tomorrow open too.

The ride is to Downieville, but I will be continuing on to Oroville.  Don't want to surprise anyone with that news.  Exploring, you know.  :ninjas

Sorry to hear CH.  Weather looks very unsettled outside.  Forecast says isolated T-storms/rain, so I'm risking it.  Gearing up now.

Did you get rained on, GM?  I chickened out and stayed home today.

Wingnut's bike had a coolant leak, so he ended up turning back.  We liked the conditions on Yuba, so we took laps on it.  It started to shower on us as we arrived in Sierra City. Parked in a dry area under a nice pine tree.  As it happened, with the communication slowdown and laps, it was lunch time anyway.  Ate at the CreekSide.  Yummy.  Storm cloud passed by and off we went.  Dry and almost too warm for 95% of the day.

Did TB's favorite excursion outside Downieville, looped back and took Marysville rd into Oroville.  Took laps on my favorite road.  DR was still sore from last weekend, so he waited at the top, while TB and I did a lap down to the pond.  The pass was open so we made our way to the Chevron in Quincy, then it started to come down.  It was then that I noticed that my wallet was missing and that I had left it at the gas station in Oroville.  Long way home, but what are you gonna do, you know?  So Bri and DR came home via hwy 70 and I meandered my way back over to Oroville.  Stopped at the bridge and took a lap going back to the far-side bridge, then back again.  Whoohoo!

Found my wallet.  And thought it was such a nice afternoon/evening, that I'd head west into Marysville and home from there.  Dry and warm, blossoms perfuming the air.  Wonderful!  Had to wait for a really long train crossing the roadway near Loma Rica.  Everything stayed that way until Cisco Grove.  First the rain started, then by Kingvale, hail.  Didn't stop.  What for?!  Traffic had slowed to about 50 MPH as we climbed past Soda Springs.  I say we, because it was then that SkydiverDCM came driving along side with his truck.  I found out later he wanted me to pull over so he could load the bike up.  By the time I crested Boreal, the hail had stopped, but the rain pretty much continued until just past the Truckee weigh station.   Very treacherous, but man did I have a great time today.

Thanks everyone!

That was some good times! So let me get this straight... we did two full laps together on Bucks, then after gassing up in quincy you left us and went back and did two more? You need help!

Lubed the chain when I got home last night, as I do after every long ride and gave her a nice soapy bath and waxing tonight.  Just need to buff after it dries and she's as good as new.

Front tire is toast on the sidewalls, but still has a decent amount of tread on the centerline.   Almost as bad as yours, but not as bad still.

Time for some new rubber!
