Sat 8/2 9:00am ride and lunch at Triumph Dealer S. Reno

Mrs Sprint and myself are planning a ride to the Triumph dealer for lunch Sat, S Virginia near Audi dealer.  They host a free lunch the first Sat of every month.  Doesn't matter what you ride they are happy to have you sit on some of their bikes in stock.  From there will do a short ride either Mt Rose or VC, not part of the triumph lunch.    I would expect heavy traffic on either route we go so pace will be um-leisurely.

UPDATE:  Decided to Ride first them eat.  Cooler and maybe less traffic.   Meet 9am Mavericks S Reno.  Ride Mt Rose to Tahoe then south to Spooner down to Carson.  From Carson take 50 to Dayton then VC via truck route and down Geiger to Reno.

Hmmmmm.......................sounds interesting Rich. I was planning on doing Monitor tomorrow morning, but I just might meet you guys at the Mavericks if I change my mind. Since I live in CC, I'd do the truck route and Geiger prior to your meet up time. Man oh live, are you sure about that Mt. Rose thing? I was in Reno doing the Hot August Nights casino parking lot tour Wednesday and the big hwy sign was still out warning of traffic delays up Mt. Rose!?
If I'm not there at 9:00, I won't be.

I haven't been to the Freedom 1st Saturday BBQ since I bought my bike on a Saturday in May '13. I keep wanting to go back but I never seem to be free on the first Sat of the month. Just bad luck. 9/6 is looking good...

Mt Rose construction is on hold for this week.  Will resume after HAN.  I've talked with other people that have gone over (on the weekends) in the last few weeks and no issues/delays.  Mostly doing it for the scenery and getting some nice views of Tahoe.   Plus we get another run down spooner

Yea I was surprised at Yosemite too.  Usually the view in Yosemite is beautiful but its really smoked in this morning from the fire. 

Tahoe is looking nice today so looking forward to cruising along the east shore and checking it out.

That was a blast, could do that ride more often.   What a great group of people.   Everyone showed up early and we got a nice cool run up Mt Rose.  Construction is absent until 8/4, road was clean and traffic light.  Over look above Incline was spectacular.  Love the pic of all the bikes with Tahoe in the background.  Nice parking job!!  

Dropped down the hill and cruised Lakeshore Blvd to see the $$$$$ homes.  Stopped at the vista point before sand harbor and hiked down to the Lake.   Perfect beach day.  Sand Harbor was full by 10:30 and traffic was backup about 1 mile but cleared up past the entrance.  I'm liking Spooner more and more, quick run down the hill and over to VC.  Pace continually increased the closer we got to lunch time.  Traffic was light up truck route and down Geiger.  Made it to Freedom cycle by 12 and had a nice pulled pork BBQ.   Someone was there from Precision with his track bike and had some good stories,/info.  Never seen a Honda Rune before, if you haven't look it up.  Wild bike.
