Best way to Tahoe on bike

Any suggestions on which is the best way to Lake Tahoe.  Not necessarily today, but sometime during the winter where I can capture the winter scenery with snow.  Is it up I-80 to Truckee or up Hwy 50? It would be really nice if I could make it up to some of the ski resorts.

Hwy 50 @Placerville headed east up to Lake Tahoe is probably your best shot at catching some nice shots going up.  Do it in the late afternoon to get the sun behind you.

Just about any view at lake level is good, but Emerald Bay has several lookouts that have some exceptional views.  East shore in the morning or west shore in the evening, unless you want to capture the sun coming up or going down, then the opposite, obviously.

Just don't know how to safely navigate any of those routes on two wheels in current conditions.  Not safe.
