to sign up for many websites you have to translate a word or words that computerized programs can not decipher.  I think that prevents problems like these.

It has been stated many times....and gone COMPLETELY IGNORED....this forum has the capability and features to protect itself from this crap. >:( Doesn't seem like anyone is listening though! I have even offered to help...

So here is my proposal...Alberto...you are the clubs VP and you have the authority to make this happen. So don't post about it, call Jerome and get him to get Catz to get it done. Especially if we are paying him to maintain this site. This has gone on for way too long.  ;)

I have personally sent Catz emails before to his email address and usually get a response. Not trying to sound like a dick but if you have something you would like for Catz to do, instead of bitching on the forum, send him an email. Catz has personally said on the forum that he doesn't check in very often, so if you need to get a hold of him, send him an email. If nothing gets done then you can go to Jerome, but the whole point of having associate members is to eliminate having to go through Jerome for everything. I have already sent an email to him on this issue. I will keep you all posted on how things are going. We are all members of the SSA. You don't need Jerome to do everything. Sending an email to someone is just as easy as starting a thread and a lot less controversial. :)

Happy Holidays.

Done, I just would like to have a member/webmaster that monitor the site and maintain it.

I completely agree Alberto. It would be nice to have that and maybe we could bring it up at our next meeting to see what the Prez and the rest think.

Admin CATZ

This is the first time I have heard of this. If you guys need something send me an email not a pm. There are also moderators now that can do a lot of the maintenance. I'll look into changing the registration. It may not be till this weekend as I'm working on a complex ecommerce site right now. Sorry guys I'll make a reminder in my outlook to check the site once a week.

I know the majority of you appreciate my help but for those that don't, I don't think you know the whole story.

It's easy to put a forum that has ads or that the club has to pay a monthly fee for but if you think you can put together an open source one and run it better then go ahead. I also started the SSA newsletter, then website, and then forums and paid for it all out of my own pocket for years. I did recieve a fee for rebuilding the forums after it crashed last time someone else maintained it. However the $600 I recieved  to build this site and maintain it for 6 months was more than reasonable.  And if I'm right I think 6 months ago ended a few months ago. Yet I'm still here.

PS. You guys should be glad I don't have a bike and am not still active in the clubs leadership, because if I was it would just be a forum, Sunday rides, hanging out, and attending other peoples track days. The club would be simple. No boards, no making money, no merchandise, just keeping it simple and having fun.

After I build my garage I'll buy another bike.

There is now a scrambled text verification box for the new user registration.   ;D

Now do you guys want me to delete all members with "0" post?

Andy thanks for emailing me today about this  :)

If you guys need me Email Me. I don't check the pm's and I don't have a cell phone but I have an email device with me 24/7 zach@settewongse.com

no phone? no bike? what the hell?  i bet you don't even hang out at *bizzles!  :P

Admin CATZ

I had a cell phone but I couldn't get anything done with it ringing non-stop. My i-Pod Touch with email works well for me.

Saving all my money to finish building my garage. Then for a pro-HD video cam. Then a BMW f800gs or a KTM 990 Adventure.
