Hodgson was just as surprised as we were...if not more surprised!

He is not dead in the water yet though... If it were my team, I'd say Hodgson would be a better candidate than Holden, but I'm sure the papers were already signed. Holden is good and did very well last year in Superstock, but I don't think he is what Hodgson is.

Team Gorgonzola

I heard that Honda drop their Formula 1 program as well. Damn economy....

Yeah Honda dropped AMA and Formula 1. Even crazier news is that Subaru just dropped out of WRC!

Sounds like aprilia has a pretty good pool to pull from for it's Factory Team.

Andy, does this have anything to do with the AMA pretty much dropping the 600 class?
is honda saying
"DEAR AMA,
Go screw yourselves!

Honda"

I think Roger Edmonson pretty much pissed off all of the factories in the negotiation processes that took place in the off season. That is why both Suzuki and Honda are doing what they are doing. Yosh hasn't said for sure if they aren't going to race or not......that I have seen.....but they also haven't said they are. Yamaha and the rest just sucked it up and went racing.

AMA has 2 600 classes for next year. "Daytona Sportbike" and the "Supersport" class for 16-22 year olds. Erion Honda is the only one that really had a team anyways and I think they are still running next year.

A little update for Yosh.....This really has to suck for the riders.

Makes me wonder if it really is the economy, like Honda is claiming,  or if it's Roger Edmonson and the new DMG situation. If it was the economy, how would Honda still be in Moto GP, but not AMA.... ???

Justin

That is exactly what I was thinking, Andy.
This sounds like something else.

Adiggity

Well, it sounds like Suzuki is in for Superbike. And they have a new rider as well.

its funny that Honda is still sponsoring some races, like at Barber in may. it must be a contract thing or the barber website isn't updated yet

Hey yo! Suzuki is officially in.....finally. So we will get to see how much these rule changes will change the results. Mr. Mladin will be competing this year.

Yo J, it looks like you'll have some Aprilias on course to root for now in AMA.  ;D

and after all the crying about how the new rules will cripple the bikes, they appear to be testing out as fast or faster than last years bikes
